Der Wolfsrudel Lauf or "The Wolf Pack Trail Runs" organized by Greenswell Events is 2-trail run series featuring multiple trail run distances that will challenge you, both mentally and physically. We want our participants to push their own boundaries at our events and in turn become stronger in their everyday life.
About the Series
Der Wolfsrudel Lauf series consists of the following two trail runs:
- March 7 - Alum Creek State Park
- April 4 - Delaware State Park
The series brings you a unique event for all trail lovers! With 6K (3.65 miles), 9K (5.6 miles), 12K (7.2 miles) and 18K (11.2 miles) distances to choose from, Der Wolfsrudel Lauf has something for every trail runner in your crew. Finisher medals for all, awesome race shirts that you'll want to wear, and the best dang support around!

Multiple Ways to Participate
Runners can participate as an individual or as a relay team. A team will consist of 2 team members with each team member completing a 3.65 mile or 5.6 mile loop for their chosen event distance between 12K to 18K.
Das Wolfsrudel Course - Alum Creek (March)
The course at Alum Creek State Park is a moderately rolling, wooded wide-track trail that runs alongside and features a gorgeous view of Alum Creek Reservoir in Galena, Ohio. The race is composed of a 3.65-mile trail and a 5.6 mile course with trail runners able to choose 1 or 2 lap options. If you are choosing the 12K or 18K, you will complete 2 laps on your prescribed course, with each lap times as you pass by the Celebration Area to cheers from earlier finishers who are celebrating their finish.
Official Trail Run Series Shirt Option
The Next Level EcoPerformance is the official shirt of the series. The EcoPerformance is attributes with a soft hand. Fabric is 70% recycled material and has a wicking performance that can draw moisture away from the skin. Made of approximately 3 recycled REPT bottler per shirt. The shirt will be an optional purchase item during registration.
Rucking Division
In partnership with Columbus Rucking, each distance will contain a rucking division for those looking to challenge themselves. What is rucking? RUCK•ING [VERB] // Walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character -- and builds it, too. Rucking requirements for this event are if Under 150 lbs, 15lbs rucksack and over 150 lbs, 25 lbs rucksack
Exciting Series Medal
Each trail run will have a unique medal that when connected to the April trail run forms an even larger medal!
Arnold Sports Festival
Der Wolfsrudel Lauf is part of the world-famous Arnold Sports Festival taking place March 5 - 8, 2020. UPDATE - March 3, 2020: Due to concerns over the spread and exposure to the Coronavirus, the Sports Festival has been closed to spectators. For more information, visit NBCI4

Awards and Recognition
All finishers will receive a commemorative event medal. The medal for the March trail run is its own medal but when connected to the April trail run medal will form a unique medal.

The top male and female finisher for each distance will receive an award to commemorate their finish. Each member on the top team for each distance will receive an award to commemorate their finish.
