Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids

Since 1990, Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) has fed hungry kids. Our mission is to connect and inspire people to take meaningful action to feed and care for kids. Our vision is simple: communities that make sure all kids are fed.

As a nation, we have more than enough for food everyone, yet household food insecurity affects 1 in 6 Canadian children. This means that 1 in 6 children do not know where their next meal is coming from.

Our lunch programs currently support students in 230+ public, Catholic, and private schools and feed kids from Kindergarten to Grade twelve. If a child arrives at school without access to an adequate, healthy lunch we make sure they are fed. It's that simple. Over 4,500 lunches are made and delivered daily to Calgary and area schools, and this number grows every day. In the past 36-months, the number of kids fed through our programs has more than doubled.
