My Story…

Hi everyone! I am running (virtually) this year for Team Cassie + Friends! For those who may not know me, I am a Parent Volunteer for the Cassie + Friends - London chapter here in Ontario! Looking forward to running with other parents and families across the country to support such an amazing organization! My daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with JIA just before her 3rd birthday. This was after 1 year of many unknowns and many doctors not recognizing and misdiagnosing her pains and swellings. She is now 7 and our little Superstar! Charlotte has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Enthesis Related Arthritis and Psoratic Arthritis. She does not respond typically to regular medications and relys on additional supports from topical creams, orthotics, physiotherapy and other therapies to help her until we find a medication she is successful on! Description

Cassie + Friends Society is an organization 100% focused on transforming the lives of kids and families affected by Juvenile Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases. In 2019, our team broke a new record with over 350 runners raising an incredible $360,000 in support of a pain-free future for kids.

Join us on Team Cassie + Friends as we virtually run/walk to raise awareness and funds for JA research, education, equipment and support.

100% of the funds raised by Team Cassie + Friends go to our mission of transforming kids and families lives through research, awareness, connection and support. More specifically, your participation will go towards our annual Family Days, Teen Groups, school resources, equipment cupboards/family funds, advocacy and research.

In collaboration with our Charity Challenge Team in Vancouver and nationwide participants, our goal is to collectively raise $240,000.
