REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS AND DEADLINES FOR 2019 HEART & SOLE

Checks for Early Bird Discount by Date Amounts Must Be Postmarked by the Last Day of the Discount. Checks Postmarked After the Date for the Discounted Amount Will Be Returned or Charged the Remaining Amount Before They Can Pick Up Their Packet.

T-SHIRT & MEDAL DEADLINES

Participants MUST BE registered by Sept 16th to be given a t-shirt. Half and Full participants MUST BE registered by August 19th to be guaranteed a finishers medal at the finish line. There will be NO exceptions.

REFUNDS

There will be NO refunds given once you have registered for any reason. Please don't email asking for refund or swapping runners because we cannot do that. The proceeds go to the Community Health Education Foundation's AED Placement Program in High Schools and Community Facilities, as well as, Community Education and Screenings.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Please read carefully before you register and are charged an entry fee for this year’s event that you have read and confirm (via your submitted registration) your understanding of all event policies.

•    The Heart & Sole event must plan months in advance, which makes it difficult and costly to make changes after registration, or place orders for extra items after a deadline. Medals, bibs, shirts and other items are ordered the day after the deadline date established for each item, and purchased according to information provided during initial registration. PAY ATTENTION TO EVENT DEADLINES. Similar to most races in the industry, the Heart & Sole does not offer refunds. This applies to individuals with injuries, unexpected business, family emergencies, etc.
• Heart & Sole reserves the right to reject any registration.
• Heart & Sole does not offer refunds for any reason.
• There will be NO race day registration for the Marathon.
• All Craighead County participants MUST pick up their race packet during Packet Pickup on Friday, September 28, 11:00 am-6:00 pm, at NEA Baptist Clinic to participate in the race. Please see packet pick up page for more information.
• All participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign their registration form to participate.
•    An official race number is required to participate in all races.

REGISTRATION CHANGES & SWITCHING RACES

•    Participants may switch between races (e. marathon to half, half o 5K, 5K to half) if it is done by September 1. We encourage you to make this decision as early as possible.
• Participants cannot give/change their registration to another individual.
• Registration changes may be made with the following restrictions:
• There are NO refunds on fees when you switch races.
• Changes must be requested by email, before 11:59 pm CST September 1, 2019, at chefjonesboro@gmail.com. They will not incur an administrative fee. If the race that you are changing to cost more, applicable fees will be required at registration before you can pick up your packet.

CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUNDS

Heart & Sole wants to provide a safe race environment for all participants. Should there be a time that it is determined to be unsafe to start a race or proceed with the race, once it has started, the following policy may be enforced:
• If weather or other conditions present a danger to participants, the Heart & Sole Event maintains the right to cancel or modify the race.
• Extreme weather conditions will be recognized as “an act of god” and will not result in the refunding of race registration fees or future race credits.
• Public safety officials and medical authorities will be consulted prior to any race cancellation or modification. Should City of Jonesboro officials, which are beyond Heart & Sole’s control, impact race official’s ability to conduct the event, the same refund policy will be in effect.
• Heart & Sole asserts that each participant assumes a personal responsibility when entering a running/walking event and accepts the potential risks. The Heart & Sole encourages all participants to take all precautions and cooperate with directives given during the race by event personnel.
• Unfortunately, almost all race related expenses will have been incurred prior to the actual race. Should the race be forced to modify the course or cancel the race, the financial impact on the race would not be any different than if the race was held in its entirety. Thus, refunding of registration fees would devastate the financial future of the race.
•    Once we receive and accept your registration, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate.
