Raise money for Salus Ottawa

Salus is a registered charity that has been meeting the rehabilitation and supportive housing needs of adults living with severe mental illness in the Ottawa area for over 40 years. Today, Salus offers a range of supportive housing options for adults with severe mental illness and concurrent challenges, including addictions, homelessness and cycles of hospitalization.  Salus owns 15 buildings across the city, with dedicated professional staff who provide diverse mental health support services to our clients and tenants. Through these programs, Salus can offer Case Management, Community Development, Residential Transitional Rehabilitation Programs, Occupational Therapy, as well as Recreational and Wellness Programs, to meet the individual needs of clients.

Salus is working on the front lines of the affordable and supportive housing crisis. Despite the immense need, many individuals will wait multiple years for a stable home with Salus. For many, that can mean many more years of living in shelters or hospitals. Support our run club participants (and supportive Salus staff, as they take part in Ottawa Race Weekend and run for Salus. Want to run with us? Join the Salus team!

The Salus Run Club was launched in May 2012, and since then, as many as 25 clients have competed in races (some runners competing in numerous races.) Runners participate in 3-5 races per year.

"I have never been active before but since I have started the running group, it makes me feel good about myself." - quote from a Salus Run Club participant
