In honour of the 5th anniversary of my lung cancer diagnosis I have registered for the Tamarack Ottawa Virtual Race and hope to raise $5,000 for Lung Cancer Canada. It is a small effort compared to what my family and I have been through over the past 5 years. I will be doing a socially distanced 2K with my lung cancer brothers and sisters here in Ottawa on Saturday, June 13th. I also plan to do ten 5K walks by June 30th (no running for me anymore due to health complications). If you would like to make a donation to support better awareness, access to treatment and advocacy for lung cancer, I would be grateful for your support.

Every day 57 Canadians will die from Lung cancer. It kills more than 20,000 people each year – more than breast, prostate and colon cancer combined, yet advancements are handicapped by vastly inadequate research funding.
