Help Laurie raise money

For participating in Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon

My Story…

I took up running about 20 years ago as a form of physical exercise. Over time, running has become so much more than that to me. I find it to be equally beneficial for my spiritual and emotional state. I am up for the challenge of running my 5th half marathon in May. I will be running in memory of my daughter, Abby, who died on December 1, 2010, after a brief battle with a Glioblastoma brain tumor at the young age of 6. It is Abby and so many other children lost too soon, along with their families, who will inspire and motivate me to complete this distance. As part of the Sunflower Striders team, I have set an aggressive goal of raising $10,210.16 ($1000 per year that Abby has been gone, 210 is her birthdate and 16 for what would be her upcoming birthday) in support of the Prayers From Maria Foundation and their mission to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research. Thank you for the impactful donation to end pediatric brain cancer! Finish line, here I come!
