The Prayers from Maria Foundation, inspired by the life of Maria McNamara, is a foundation built out of love and compassion for children who suffer, and have died, from the deadliest brain tumors. Our mission is to honor childhood cancer patients with the attention they deserve by reversing the tragic lack of funding and advancing the most meaningful children’s brain cancer research. You may know us for our sunflower field. Maria’s Field of Hope, located in Avon, Ohio along I-90, serves as a symbol of hope that attracts thousands of visitors each year from across the country. The field gracefully draws attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. It is planted each year in the spirit of Maria, as a way to love and honor the courageous children now battling cancer, and those we have lost. Maria's Field of Hope is just one of the many ways we raise awareness. Prayers from Maria has been able to make an impact by funding numerous promising research studies across the USA.
