COVID Safety Measures


  1. Communication
    1. Participants must pre-monitor health status for 14 days before they participate
    2. Runners must digitally sign a race week COVID waiver before starting the race
    3. While racing, runners must attempt to avoid following directly behind one another and keep 13+ feet away. We recommend staying beside or at no more than a 45 degree angle behind other runners.
    4. There will be a pre-race email along with social updates reminding participants of social distancing rules
    5. Masks or neck gaiters are accepted as long as both nose and mouth are covered at all times
  2. General Sanitation
    1. Sanitizing stations will be placed around facility including start/finish line, bathrooms, packet pickup tables, medal table, etc
    2. Staff will regularly clean high touch point areas around start/finish line
    3. Staff will monitor and restock supplies continuously
    4. All staff members, partners, volunteers must stay home if feeling ill
  3. Venue Setup and Flow
    1. Participants must wear masks when entering the building and cannot remove them until they start the race
    2. Participants must carry masks with them during the run
    3. Participants must place masks back on immediately after crossing the finish line
    4. Ample signage placed in key areas encouraging social distancing
    5. Social distancing markings added to the ground where crowds may gather
    6. No spectators will be allowed inside of the start/finish area
    7. Announcements made regularly reminding participants about social distancing
  4. Start Line
    1. Rolling starting line where participants can start anytime during their half hour segment
    2. Starting arch will be separate from finish arch and 30' wide
    3. 50 participants will be allowed to sign up for each half hour slot and can start anytime during that half hour
    4. No more than 25 people will be allowed in the open air building at a time including staff and volunteers
    5. Masks must be worn until participants have exited the building
  5. Course
    1. No water stops on the course, however there is water at the start/finish area.
    2. We encourage participants to bring their own water
    3. No cheering areas
    4. Multiple greenways and shared streets used
  6. Finish Line
    1. Finish arch separate from Start arch
    2. Finish arch at 30’ wide
    3. Participants must place mask back on immediately after crossing finish line
    4. Vocal volunteers encouraging continuous movement and distancing
    5. Medals on self-serve tables spreading them as much as possible
    6. Post-race food pre-packaged
    7. No awards ceremony
