COVID Safety Measures
- Communication
- Participants must pre-monitor health status for 14 days before they participate
- Runners must digitally sign a race week COVID waiver before starting the race
- While racing, runners must attempt to avoid following directly behind one another and keep 13+ feet away. We recommend staying beside or at no more than a 45 degree angle behind other runners.
- There will be a pre-race email along with social updates reminding participants of social distancing rules
- Masks or neck gaiters are accepted as long as both nose and mouth are covered at all times
- General Sanitation
- Sanitizing stations will be placed around facility including start/finish line, bathrooms, packet pickup tables, medal table, etc
- Staff will regularly clean high touch point areas around start/finish line
- Staff will monitor and restock supplies continuously
- All staff members, partners, volunteers must stay home if feeling ill
- Venue Setup and Flow
- Participants must wear masks when entering the building and cannot remove them until they start the race
- Participants must carry masks with them during the run
- Participants must place masks back on immediately after crossing the finish line
- Ample signage placed in key areas encouraging social distancing
- Social distancing markings added to the ground where crowds may gather
- No spectators will be allowed inside of the start/finish area
- Announcements made regularly reminding participants about social distancing
- Start Line
- Rolling starting line where participants can start anytime during their half hour segment
- Starting arch will be separate from finish arch and 30' wide
- 50 participants will be allowed to sign up for each half hour slot and can start anytime during that half hour
- No more than 25 people will be allowed in the open air building at a time including staff and volunteers
- Masks must be worn until participants have exited the building
- Course
- No water stops on the course, however there is water at the start/finish area.
- We encourage participants to bring their own water
- No cheering areas
- Multiple greenways and shared streets used
- Finish Line
- Finish arch separate from Start arch
- Finish arch at 30’ wide
- Participants must place mask back on immediately after crossing finish line
- Vocal volunteers encouraging continuous movement and distancing
- Medals on self-serve tables spreading them as much as possible
- Post-race food pre-packaged
- No awards ceremony
