Dartmouth Family Centre/Dartmouth North Community Food Centre

We provide opportunity for learning and connection for families, seniors, and community members in the neighbourhood of Dartmouth North. We offer community meals, parenting programs, cooking classes for ages toddlers, youth, and adults, child development programs, and a community farm - and everything is free of charge and open to all. Food insecurity and poverty are serious issues in our neighbourhood, with 1 in 2 children living in low income households. That's why we provide healthy meals and snacks at every program we offer. 78% of our participants say that we are a significant source of healthy food for them. This year, our Blue Nose team aims to raise $10,000 - enough to cover the cost of food for 5,000 healthy meals. So let's run to raise 5,000 meals!
