Top O’ the Mornin to you Dash Down Greenville 5K Athletes,
This is the first time in the history of Dash Down Greenville 5K we have had to write this kind of post.
As a concerned community partner around the rapidly developing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are transforming the 25th Dash Down Greenville 5K into a Virtual Event.
This is unprecedented and we want to take into account the safety of all our participants, staff, volunteers, vendors, partners and overall community.
This has been a very difficult decision but we are taking this pandemic very seriously.
NEXT STEPS:
In order to continue to pick up your packet and pick up your medal,
- Packet pickup has been extended
Thursday, March 12th from 10AM to 7PM
Friday, March 13th from 11AM to 4PM
LOCATIONS:
Dallas Running Company 7200 Bishop Rd D-12, Plano, TX 75024
Medals will be available after 1PM today in the Dallas Location only
Fort Worth Running Company 2401 W 7th St, Fort Worth, TX 76107
Medals will be available Friday in the FW Location

On St. Paddy’s Day, Tuesday, March 17th you will receive an email with a code to gain a FREE entry into the 2021 Dash Down Greenville 5K. You will have a week to redeem.

Now, to the fun part - What you will do to participate in the 25th Annual Dash Down Greenville Virtual 5K… get up and get dressed in your race day gear, add a tutu, some green beads, some green hair or face paint and start talking like you have an Irish accent.

7:52 AM -Warmup
7:54 AM-National Anthem
8:00 AM-Start your virtual run
8:05 AM-Start line closes for all late starts
CELEBRATE YOUR FINISH BY POSTING YOUR TIME, BIB, AND CONTEST PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

At 3PM we will post winners for the following categories
- Best Tutu
- Donut Eating Contest
- Go Green or Go Home
- Best Dressed Pet
We will continue to support our local non-profit, The SPCA of Texas, and will make an additional donation of $4,000 from the cash awards.
It is with a heavy heart that we post these changes, but we believe that it is our responsibility to adhere to the social distancing that is necessary to slow down the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please join us in doing our part so that we can continue to Run Local and Give Local.
