Journey For Sight
This event raises funds to purchase eyeglasses for those in Topeka Kansas who cannot afford to see. Your help and support is greatly appreciated. We will also collect used eyeglasses to donate for missions to 3rd world countries. Additional donations accepted. Topeka Lions Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
The course is certified by US Track & Field. This is a very flat course and many people have a personal best time on this course. 10K Runners run the course twice. The event is chip timed. Awards will be presented immediate following for Top male and female and 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for Age Divisions.
Age Divisions:
5K and 10K Adults
Male – 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Female - 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Under 20 categories: (5K run only)M
ale – 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19;
Female – 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19 No strollers or dogs please.
No Awards for 5K Walkers.
Free Entrance for up to four people to the Combat Air Museum afterwards when you present your bib. Late registration at Garry Gribbles Running Sports in Topeka KS on Friday, April 3, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Late registration is $40.00 or Race Day Late Registration at 7 am at the Combat Air Museum.
