Raise money for Vancouver Youth Choir
The Vancouver Youth Choir is Vancouver’s newest choral organization for children and youth. Founded in 2013 by Carrie Tennant, the choirs provide a space for promising young singers to develop their artistry in a safe and supportive environment. In six years, the organization has grown from a single choir of 30 members to more than 250 members in five separate ensembles (the "Vancouver Youth Choir" [ages 15-24], the "VYC Voices " [ages 15-24], the "VYC Juniors" [grades 7-11], the "VYC Kids" [grades 3-6]), and the “VYC Tiny” (a short-term choral opportunity launched last spring for singers in kindergarten-grade 2). Members represent over 13 municipalities in the lower mainland, including 43 different high schools, 32 elementary schools and five different post-secondary institutions. They are united by their love of the choral art form and their desire to contribute to their communities.
