My Story…
The very first race I participated in was the "Sprint to the Spit" 5 K in Comox. I had just started learning how to use a wheelchair and I was enthusiastic and curious - if I could do it. That event gave me a sense of accomplishment that I had not felt for a very long time. It was a fundraiser and that fit many of my personal motivations as well.. a win win! Since then I have have had the opportunity to race in several runs, most often beating my last best time.
This time I will challenge 21 Km. Oohlala a half marathon. I am so stoked I am a bit unbearable. I am excited to support Spinal Cord Injury BC raise funds to continue the programs, peer support and the amazing people and work that have benefited me and so many others over many years!
