Our story…

CSLG's goal is to support children's education during Covid 19 ... as parents in Vellore, Tamil Nadu have been in lockdown and unable to earn daily wages, they have no way to pay tuition for their children to go to school. In July 2020, CSLG received a request for scholarships for 69 students - more than 3 times the usual 20 to 30 students CSLG has provided scholarships to in the past few years. Our team goal is to walk/run a virtual marathon and with the support of our sponsors, raise $45,000 here in Ottawa. My goal is approx. 25% of that total...Please sponsor me! This virtual event is organized by Run Ottawa and the Scotiabank Charity Challenge which provides us all with the opportunity to support a charitable cause as well as a way to keep motivated while physically isolating! Description

5 years ago in Ottawa, CSLG signed up for its first 5 km walk in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge.  Since then, CSLG has participated each year through the Scotiabank Charity Challenge in Ottawa and this will be its 3 year in Calgary.  We have all had SO MUCH FUN and SO MUCH SATISFACTION helping SO MANY PEOPLE in INDIA that for 2020, we decided to add a team to participate in VANCOUVER as well.  We invite you all to join us in OTTAWA, CALGARY and VANCOUVER....we'll be there!  We invite you all to encourage your family and friends to get involved...walk or run with us AND come to our wind up lunch/dinner after each event.  Contact us for details and guidance in how to register and then join us for the training as that's part of the fun!
