Our story…
Youville is touching the hearts of residents through Art! We’ve been working with a local artist Ann Thorsteinsson to transform our walls into engaging, cheerful conversation pieces. The murals brighten our walls and provide an opportunity for connection, sparking memories, and thoughtful conversations.
As stories and memories are shared, they become the content for the murals. These then spark more memories and stories and the mural unfolds in an iterative process. Families bring in photos of gardens, residents talk about their favourite fruits, staff remember a resident’s love for a hummingbird and the artist paints these into the scenes.
We make our own homes filled with beautiful things as a way of caring for our own hearts. We want to do this at Youville as one essential way to care for the hearts of those who live and work and visit here. Description
St. Paul’s Foundation raises funds for enhanced patient care by supporting equipment needs, research, teaching, capital projects and innovative health care strategies that are recognized for their excellence here in British Columbia and around the world.
