WISH Drop-In Centre Society

Based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES), WISH Drop-In Centre Society exists to improve the health, safety and well-being of women involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade. WISH offers a safe haven for women: a place to rest, connect, get a bite to eat or access other, more specific kinds of support – all in a safe, respectful, accepting environment. As a deeply respected member of the DTES community, WISH offers programs to serve immediate needs, while working to end the stigma that put women at risk. WISH works towards the vision that every woman should have access to opportunities to make free, healthy and positive choices by offering some of our city’s most marginalized women the stability, compassion, and strength needed to choose the life they want in freedom and safety.
