Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Oceanside Mother’s Day Race Committee and the Oceanside Running Club Association (ORCA) have cancelled the Sunday May 10, 2020 race. Racers, volunteers and sponsors will receive an email from the organizers.
Thank you for your patience during this time. We feel it is the right and necessary thing to do for the safety of all and doing our part to stop the spread of the virus.
We look forward to seeing you next year,
Sunday, May 9th, 2021!
The Oceanside Running Club Association (ORCA) welcomes you as a participant or volunteer in the 10k race through Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, and the 5k run/walk along the Englishman River Estuary.
The 10k run is for runners only, competitive or recreational. Walkers, strollers and baby joggers are NOT allowed (see the 5k run/walk). It is a BC Athletics certified course BC-2014-034-BDC making it attractive for competitors seeking a personal best time or 10k certification. For the recreational runner, it is fun and scenic. The course surface is road and groomed trails through the Rathrevor Beach Provincial Park. Awards will be presented to the first three finishers in 5 year age categories.
The 5k run/walk route is a loop on road and some trail along the Englishman River Estuary. This is the course to choose if you are walking or pushing a stroller or baby jogger. Awards will be presented to the first three male and female participants to cross the finish line.
Charities: Haven Society is the main recipient of our charitable donations and you may donate to this organization during the registration process.
