TWO options for 2020 – Our Virtual run or our LIVE 5 km run at the runway! Start times beginning at 9:00 am and into the early afternoon based on registration and physical distancing on the day on Saturday September 19th. This years registration is RISK FREE with options to defer your registration to 2021 or participate in a Virtual event should we not be able to host a live event. Rain date September 20, 2020.

A socially distance 5 KM runway run, walk, roll or pole! Each registrant will be given a Buff/Neck Gaitor when they arrive that can be used as your face mask when not running. You will be emailed the week before to confirm your heat time.

Looking to do the 5 KM race on your own schedule and at your own location of choice? This is the event for you, complete your run by September 22, 2020! Don't worry you will still get your exclusive Run the Runway Buff/Neck Gaitor . Support a great cause while doing something great for your health. You can use any app to track your time such as RunKeeper, or if you prefer a more laid back approach just post your results on our results page or a selfie our FaceBook page when you are done - no time required! Instructions will be sent to all registered participants in September. Virtual Race is NOT eligible for finishing prizes.

About Jordan
Jordan Strickland inspires the seventh Annual “Jordan’s Run the Runway” run and walk event at Diamond Aircraft and the London International Airport. Thanks to all of you….. old and new friends, family, and others connected to us and each other through Jordan, who continue to made this event such a success! Together we have raised over $600,000 for YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth. Jordan would SO love this party!
Jordan loved new adventures, and he was not afraid to try anything. One of the things he loved most in life was going to the YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth on Beausoleil Island, where he attended many summers as a camper, and nine years as a volunteer counsellor.
CQE terrain is not what would be considered easy to traverse, and was a challenge to Jordan’s mobility, but he always managed to get anywhere he needed to with the support of the many amazing young men and women there. It is doubtful that he missed any opportunities and his enthusiasm was contagious! Rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, body surfing on the rapids, hiking, swimming, out tripping…. he looked forward to and was a part of all of it. Because of the Y’s and CQE's inclusive philosophy, Jordan and others who may have physical or other challenges have always been welcomed to share the same awesome camp experience as any other kid, with whatever support it takes to make that happen. Many, many children and future camp leaders who couldn’t typically afford to go are supported by the Strong Kids Campaign to attend CQE, and we want this to continue as part of Jordan’s story for many years to come. Jordan would be turning 34 this year, and we are so grateful for the many friends he met over the years, and who he introduced to us. Thank you so much for Running the Runway to remember our amazing Jordan, and also for his CQE and Siskinds families and friends.
