On Sunday March 15, 2020 Another Brick in Nepal is hosting the third annual trail race in East Sooke Park
Nepal was struck by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on April 25, 2015. Over one million homes and five thousand schools were completely destroyed. Another Brick in Nepal formed shortly after with the goal of rebuilding these schools to provide kids an education in a safe building.
To date, Another Brick in Nepal has built two complete schools in rural Nepal. Additionally, has furnished a school in Kathmandu recently committed to the third full school build in a remote community.
The money raised in the first annual trail race allowed us to furnish the Yagyamati Seconday School in Kathmandu. The second race helped fund the rebuild of Sharada Secondary School in the Khandbari district. The trail race has been instrumental in helping build schools.
Another Brick in Nepal is focused on continuing to help in Nepal. The most recent project is the build of Him Secondary School in the Sankhuwasbha district of Nepal.
The 2019 trail run had 145 registrants and the goal is to have 200 people for the third annual race. The race has a Nepali feel from start to finish. When participants cross the finish line they receive a silk scarf from Kathmandu and warm Nepalese meal.
