The 2020 Pumpkin Classic Has Gone Virtual...
Roaring Pumpkins on the Run!
All registrations receive a race shirt! If you register after September 3rd, your shirt will be available for pick-up by September 25th.
Coinciding with the reimagined Roaring Pumpkins and All That Jazz, the Pumpkin Classic will be a pumpkin-week virtual run/walk. We look forward to seeing our 1,500+ runners and walkers every year, but in the name of caution (among many other things!), we are going to make this an event everyone can enjoy safely and at their own timing.
So what does that really mean?
As part of the run, you will embark on your own 10k or 2 mile course anytime during Roaring Pumpkins and All That Jazz (September 16-19). There will be no official course to run and no set time to start – you get to choose! You’ll submit your race results to us and we will have a 2020 leaderboard – details to come. When you register at the (now-reduced!) entry rate for 2020, you will receive one of our amazing tech race shirts and be part of a great community event where we continue to raise funds for Project Pumpkin. We have a few additional benefits that you will receive, including some “Pumpkin Bucks” for food at our Pumpkin Drive-Thru. Last but not least, over the coming weeks we will be releasing information on how to earn one of our delicious prizes during your run!
While this is not the event we pictured for the 2020 Festival, we are excited to create a fun version that allows for everyone to remain safe and still get out and train for a great cause. Our race has always been focused on bringing people together and promoting healthy habits – it will simply need to look a bit different this year. Where other events have had to cancel entirely, we wanted to create something enjoyable where we can all continue to support our local community by participating in our own way.
