April 10, 2020. We do not know the long term effect Covid-19 will have on running races or large scale events in general. We do however know that our event as planned must change. Rather than cancel our event, we are changing the shape of it, the 2020 Sole Sisters 5K will now become a VIRTUAL RACE for all participants. All registered participants will be sent a Virtual Sole Sisters Race Kit which will include race bib, safety pins, unicorn themed race wrap and finisher’s medal. If you registered for any other swag (shirt or tutu) it will be available to you in 2021 regardless of your participation in the 2021 event or not. We recognize that individual timelines for participation will vary so the suggested the virtual race date is extended to include June 6 – December 31, 2020. The race recap video however will need submissions by July 31st.
For many this announcement will be great news as Sole Sisters Virtual Race may be their only event this year. However, for some Sole Sisters it will be terribly disappointing. We understand that as we are disappointed also. However, we feel it is the best possible outcome from a terrible situation. This is our unicorn lemonade made from the Covid-19 lemons. We hope you will participate in the SPREAD CHEER video and upload your results to add to the virtual experience. SOCIALS & SUPPORTER PARTIES
Did you know that Sole Sisters offers free training events we call "SOCIALS"? These SOCIALS take place in the FALL and SPRING. We invite you to join us (you don't have to be registered for the race, it's free, it is a chance to meet other walkHERS and runHERS and see what Sole Sisters is about). We meet at 45 Graham's Grove, Dartmouth which is the start and finish of the Sole Sisters 5K so you can train on the actual race course.
Our Sole Sisters Supporter Parties (free and you don't have to be a Sole Sister yet) are the brain child of our great Sponsors: Kaitliyn Beaver, Tara MacDonald and Scott Walsh! These events are about being social without having to also exercise. And we really want newbies to come to these events, we offer great door prizes to incentivize attendance. If you are brand new you get more ballots to win because we know it is harder to be brand new.
We will try to keep our facebook page updated with all our events and will update this registration page when dates are set. For now you have these awesome, FREE, fall events to look forward to next:

No refunds or deferrals
Sole Sisters Women's Race does not offer registration deferrals or refunds.

We understand life happens but there simply are no refunds, no exceptions and no extensions.
