My Story…
Hi friends,
I am running in support of Matthew House - a wonderful organization dedicated to helping newly arrived refugee claimants at their time of greatest need - their first days and weeks in Canada. Matthew House provides safe shelter and settlement assistance and helps each resident to have a good start in Canada.
This will be my sixth time joining the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. As a former staff of Matthew House I have seen the impact of their work and am happy to continue supporting them in this way.
The Scotiabank Charity Challenge run has been vital for Matthew House's fundraising efforts. With the run going virtual this year, and fewer people participating as a result, it will be harder to meet their goal. Please support me as I run a virtual marathon so that Matthew House can continue to do their good work.
100% of donations go directly to Matthew House and tax receipts are given for each donation above $20.

Matthew House is a community of homes that welcome, shelter and assist newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto. Our desire is to restore refugee's dignity and hope by providing emotional and physical support in a homelike setting to help them heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. When we run for Matthew House, we send a message that says "my Toronto is your Toronto" for vulnerable newcomers like refugees. Join our team and help transform the lives of newly-arrived refugees.
