I have reminded myself on more than one occasion this year when I am railing against our inability to make plans and the lack of control we have over our future that for many this is not a 2020 phenomenon.
For the millions living in poverty, in refugee camps, in war-torn countries, in places were they cannot access proper medical care, their future is never certain and certainly not theirs to control. It is easy to forget this in a "regular" year, even easier in 2020 as we face our own struggles. However, MSF is an organisation that doesn't forget and is always there making a difference.
That is why this year, together with one of my sons, I'm running the virtual half-marathon as part of the MSF team. If you can, please make a donation to support the amazing work that MSF medical teams do every day, every year in so many countries around the world.

Over 90 per cent of our funding comes from private individuals like you, rather than from governments or other institutions. By raising funds for MSF, you'll be supporting doctors, nurses and logisticians who deliver aid to people in crisis situations around the world.
