This is my 8th year at the STWM raising funds for Dekpor School Development Organisation! I plan to walk Aurora, wearing a costume, and raising awareness and funds for the food programme at Dekpor Basic School in Ghana. Working on DSDO is my passion project gone wild. The joy and satisfaction that I get knowing that my time and energy is genuinely helping the people of Dekpor is what fuels my long hours. Every year our incredible friends help us reach the charity goal so we can maintain the 150 kids receiving food each school day. THANK YOU for your compassion in a year where the whole world has been challenged and we're all doing the best we can to take steps forward. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Dekpor School Development Organisation = hard-working volunteers improving: education, sanitation, clean water, nutrition, health, sponsorships, business start-ups, and crop diversity in rural Ghana.
Funds raised at this event are what allow us to run our food programme. Breakfast and lunch are served to 150 students at school, but, gee, we'd love to add even more of the 1000 students to the list of recipients!
You, too, can be part of something wonderful and SEE your fundraising efforts actually MAKE a DIFFERENCE! Give generously. Every single dollar truly helps!
Just to give you an idea of your impact:
$50 feeds a child for 4 months
$165 gives breakfast and lunch every school day + health care + summer school fees paid for 1 child for a year!
