My Story…
Dear friends and family,
This is the 4th year that I'm running to raise donations for North York Community House. Thank you for your support in previous years. I hope that you'll consider supporting me again this year. Now more than ever, we must rally together in support of our neighbours in lower-income and vulnerable communities, seniors, youth, immigrants and refugees. NYCH provides critical support services for these members of our community - helping create a stronger, more inclusive and equitable Toronto. I know this is a difficult time economically for many people, so I greatly appreciate any support or donation you're able to offer. To demonstrate my resolve and appreciation for your support, I will endeavour to run/walk a total of 50km instead of 5km. Thank you for your kindness, support and generosity!

Description
Newcomers and their families face numerous barriers to starting their new lives here in Canada. Your kindness will create opportunities for them to settle successfully, thrive in their new settings and become leaders in the community.
Every year, over 20,000 people will come through our doors to access the programs and services we offer. Through generous donations like yours, new immigrants and refugees will receive free, one-on-one settlement help; immigrant professionals will develop their skills for workplace success; newcomer youth will feel more welcome in their new schools; families in under-resourced neighbourhoods will be encouraged to get active and stay healthy.
All funds raised by NYCH through the 2020 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will support innovative children, youth, and family programs – providing opportunities for residents in northwest Toronto to gain confidence, build skills, and lead positive change in their neighbourhoods.
