Help Paula raise money

For participating in Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Virtual Race 2020

My Story…

There are no publicly funded schools for deaf children in the State of Guanajuato. If the parent of a deaf child wishes to send their child to school they have no option but to send them to languish, virtually untaught, in a public school classroom with hearing students and with no special instruction, in particular without sign language. During Covid-19 the school has reverted to the virtual classroom via smartphone and laptop for visual communication between the teachers and the students. When safe to do so, in-person classroom instruction will return. EEESMA would not exist without your support. The school relies on donations, grants and fundraising to operate. There is no government funding provided. Yet, the opportunities are exciting and many, and we need more friends to help us make this Mexican school for Mexican kids continue to grow and improve. Please support EEESMA either by joining to complete the 5km walk or by pledging your support an existing team member.
