My Story…
Join me and my family to help ESCUELA de EDUCACION ESPECIAL de SAN MIGUEL de ALLENDE With no publicly funded schools for deaf children in the State of Guanajuato, parents of a deaf child have no option but to send their child to languish, virtually untaught in a public school classroom with hearing students and with no sign language instruction. Since 2012 EEESMA has set out to change that. During Covid-19 the school has reverted to the virtual classroom via smartphone and laptop for visual communication in Mexican Sign Language. When safe to do so, in-person classroom instruction will return. Until then, it is our goal to raise $2500 to acquire electronic equipment so that each student will have a device to communicate with from home. With no government assistance, the school needs your help to continue to grow and improve. Please support EEESMA's team "Holy Walkamolies" either by joining our team to complete the 5km walk or by pledging to support an existing team member.
