My Story…
Hello, during the month of October, 2020 I will be participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Virtual 10K Run. Due to COVID-19 the race is, of course, a little different. Each participant will run their own race, during the month of October, and will report their run time to determine their placement among all participants. My target run date will be Sunday, October 18th. Once again I will be running to raise funds for Matthew House. Matthew House provides housing and other vital services to Refugees upon their arrival in Toronto (please see below for additional information about Matthew House). Please consider supporting the great work done by this organization. 100% of all funds raised go directly to Matthew House. All donations of $20.00 or more will receive an official tax receipt.
Description
Matthew House is a community of homes that welcome, shelter and assist newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto. Our desire is to restore refugee's dignity and hope by providing emotional and physical support in a homelike setting to help them heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. When we run for Matthew House, we send a message that says "my Toronto is your Toronto" for vulnerable newcomers like refugees. Join our team and help transform the lives of newly-arrived refugees.
