My Story…
Dearest Friends and Family,
I hope this finds you well and happy despite the current state of the world. I am reaching out to you today to share a story that most, if not all of you know. I want to share my story and ask for your support.
When I was 8 years old, my Father died.
When I was 16 years old, my Mother died.
These two events, particularly the death of my beloved Mom changed the course of my life. I was so sad for a very long time (and still am some days).
25 years later I find myself working at a very special place. It is called The Dr. Jay Children's Grief Centre and we provide free grief counseling and programming for children and youth who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. I see a little bit of myself in each kid that we help. On tough days, that little bit is what gets me through.
On Sunday, October 18th I will be walking for the Dr. Jay Children's Grief Centre and I am asking for your support. I need your help to keep the doors of the Centre open and able to continue to provide innovative and specialized programming for grieving kids.

Description
Please help support The Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre, that exists to provide support to grieving children and youth. The Centre provides counselling to children, youth and families (0-21) who are living with the dying and death of a sibling, parent or primary caregiver, or who are living with terminal illness themselves. We help to build capacity of individuals, families and communities and support one another in grief, as well as to maintain connections with loved ones who have died.
