My Story…
I’m walking again with Team Houston.. that's me and Jim and all five grand kids (Lucy, Milo, Charlotte, Penelope, and Simon) for the Holy Trinity Refuge Committee. This is our third year, and it’s become the major fundraiser to support our work sponsoring refugees. (Because of Covid 19 we’ll be doing it individually following all the protocols). Holy Trinity will need $50,000 to look after the newcomers we are expecting in in the coming year. With your generous help, Team Houston hopes to raise $7,000.
Description
Our Refugee Committee invites you run or walk to support newly arrived refugees. Since 1991, we have sponsored and provided financial and moral support to around 135 refugees fleeing persecution in countries such as Afghanistan, Colombia, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq and Rwanda. Today, they are making positive contributions to our society, both economically and socially.
We are currently sponsoring a woman from Iraq and are expecting a man from Eritrea this year. We need your help raising funds so that we may support them. If you raise over $1000.00, we will reimburse your registration fees.
