My Story…
The people of our Mexican home, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, suffer like many in this pandemic. But without many of the social safety nets available to us as Canadians. The upcoming winter season will be sparse for tourists and the pesos that they bring to the locals through the tourist industry. Bill and I are walking to raise funds for 'Carol's Rice and Beans' food sharing program. We know Carol, she has been boots on the ground in Zihuat since last spring. Carol has been tireless in personally organizing and delivering 'dispensas' of much needed food packages to the people there. Bill and I hope that you can help us to help our Mexican neighbours in 'Zihuat' !
