Our story…

We think that Canadian Humanitarian offers the best hope to fight poverty and create a just world. More than 75% of funds raised go directly to projects run by Ethiopians that make it possible for children to attend school from kindergarten to high school to college and university. They get healthy meals, tutorial assistance, and medical care. The children's caregivers are supported to run their own poverty reduction programs. None of the hundreds of children that CH supports would have otherwise been able to go to school! Several of us who are walking/running in the Charity Challenge have volunteered in Ethiopia and have seen how successful the CH programs are. That's why we want to make it possible for more kids to get an education. Please sponsor us and give a bright young child an education and a future!

Description

Canadian Humanitarian began assisting 40 Ethiopian students in 2004, and is now supporting 524 students in Ethiopia, and 22 students in Malawi.  Our programs have grown because of donors like you, who help us reach out to relieve the suffering of children who have so much potential.  With your help, we are successful in breaking the cycle of poverty one child at a time.  


Over 1,232 young people are now independent working adults from Canadian Humanitarian programs, thanks to donors like yourself.  They are contributing members of their community and their children will never need Canadian Humanitarian programs.  The needs are still great, but the ability to make a difference is not beyond our reach with your continued support.
