Our story…

Patronato Pro Niños’ mission is of providing medical, dental, nutritional, and psychological care to children and adolescents from economically deprived families in our municipality. For example, in 2019, we provided medical, psychological and nutritional care and health education to 9,274 children, through 14,368 consultations; and served 93 communities in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende. Our goal is to see Every Child, Every Year. We are not there yet, but with support such as yours, we will be able to offer health care to these children and adolescents that will enable them to continue on their path towards a brighter future.

Description

For ten years, AMISTAD CANADA (AC) has been working to improve the lives of Mexicans-in-need through health and education Projects delivered in partnership with fourteen Mexican NGOs. 


Projects include: mobile medical-dental service to remote communities; healthy school meals; underwriting medical care for sick and disabled children; supplemental classes in subjects such as literacy, computer skills, English and the arts; primary to post-secondary scholarships; a school for the Deaf; and a therapy centre for children with various disabilities.


AC participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge will provide Mexican-Canadians, and other runners who are attached to Mexico, an opportunity to support these initiatives.
