Our story…

We are a group of Mexican, Canadian, and American friends who are participating in a virtual walk/run to raise funds for Feed the Hungry's Feed the Families program. Through this program, food is provided to more than 4,000 needy families in San Miguel de Allende. Please consider joining our team to raise the much-needed funds to help families in Central Mexico receive basic supplies that are enough to make more than 35,000 meals every day. Description

For ten years, AMISTAD CANADA (AC) has been working to improve the lives of Mexicans-in-need through health and education Projects delivered in partnership with fourteen Mexican NGOs. 


Projects include: mobile medical-dental service to remote communities; healthy school meals; underwriting medical care for sick and disabled children; supplemental classes in subjects such as literacy, computer skills, English and the arts; primary to post-secondary scholarships; a school for the Deaf; and a therapy centre for children with various disabilities.


AC participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge will provide Mexican-Canadians, and other runners who are attached to Mexico, an opportunity to support these initiatives.
