Matthew House has welcomed almost 2,000 refugee claimants over the past 20 years in the city of Toronto.Their mission is to inspire hope, restore dignity, and empower independence for refugee claimants.
Their primary goal is to restore refugees’ dignity by providing shelter and support in a welcoming, home-like setting. Matthew House provides emotional and physical support to help residents heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada.

Matthew House is a community of homes that welcome, shelter and assist newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto. Our desire is to restore refugee's dignity and hope by providing emotional and physical support in a homelike setting to help them heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. When we run for Matthew House, we send a message that says "my Toronto is your Toronto" for vulnerable newcomers like refugees. Join our team and help transform the lives of newly-arrived refugees.
