DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID19 SITUATION,

THE EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED!


It is with great regret to inform you that the Easter Dash 2020 is now cancelled.

Our committee organizers genuinely care about our community’s health and safety. After discussing with our local municipality, and based on the constant changes to our provincial guidelines, this was indeed a hard decision to make. However, we believe that it is essential for our community to remain strong and together in our global fight against COVID19.

For our registered participants, there are two options available:

  1. You may choose to consider your registration fees as a donation to the Optimist Club of Kilworth-Komoka --- no action required
  2. You may request for a full refund of your registration fee (note: the processing fee charged by RaceRoster is non-refundable). To receive your refund, please email us at kkeasterdash@hotmail.com . The processing may take up to 2 weeks, so please be patient with us.

We thank you for the continual support, and we hope to host this event again in 2021!

Where the Money Goes

The proceeds from the Easter Dash will all go towards youth activities throughout the Delaware, Mount Brydges, Komoka and Kilworth communities. The Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth is a non-profit, all volunteer group that has been active in the Del-Ko-Brydges community since 1972. We are committed to “Bringing Out the Best” in our local youth in a variety of ways. We sponsor youth sports teams and clubs, as well as public and high school programs, and last year we donated more than $30,000 to these groups. The Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth also organizes and runs several family community events in addition to Easter Dash including Canada Day, Halloween at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee and Breakfast With Santa. We have also contributed to several capital projects in our communities such as the Komoka Community Centre, the splash pad in Kilworth, the Komoka trail, playgrounds in Komoka & Kilworth and the Middlesex Centre Wellness & Recreation Centre.5dde75d23558e.jpeg
