Sutter Cancer Support Services

The Monte Rio Triathlon is teaming up with Sutter's Institute for Health and Healing (IHH) to continue the good work started with Vineman's Barb's Race.  Each participant will have the opportunity to make a donation during the registration process and will automatically have a fundraising page set up for them if they decide to go above and beyond making a donation. Note that this is completely voluntary but we would love to have you fundraise and support a very valuable local resource for cancer patients - Sutter's IHH

Sutter Institute for Health and Healing provides Barb's Grants (started through Barb’s Race) that provide complementary therapies free of charge for patients undergoing cancer treatment.  Their skilled practitioners have particular expertise in relief from treatment-related side effects, immune system enhancement, pain management and surviviorship.  These services offer physical, emotional and spiritual care and comfort to patients.

The first grant is free for all patients.  Patients with low incomes and those with recurring illness can apply for additional funding for care.  

Your donation and/or fundraising efforts will ensure that these services are available for anyone who needs them. 

Sutter is a 501(c)(3) and all gifts are 100% tax-deductible.
