After consulting with all parties involved, I have decided to cancel the 2020 Crazy Legs 10k that was going to held on June 7th. I just do not know what state of recovery we will be in by then. I do not want to move it to another date as it may affect races in Colorado that have rescheduled their races. Also my ability to fly out Colorado for another date is in question as well.
Here are your options:
1. All registered runners will be move in the 2021 Crazy Legs 10k (2021 date would be June 6th ).
2. If you unable to make the 2021 date you can transfer your entry to a friend/family member no charge. If you decide on this option you need to email me (stofko121@yahoo.com). You can plenty of time to make that decision.
3. Another option is do my TP 10k Virtual Run on May 2nd practicing all the recommendations by CDC to stay safe. If you do accept this offer you WILL BE REMOVED from the 2021 Crazy Legs 10k. Like salsa and guacamole dip there is NO double dipping. If you chose this virtual race option, you MUST email by Wednesday April 15th. Please be supportive of RDs we are experiencing some crazy times with Corvid-19. Trail runners always throw around the word “community” when they describe individuals that partake in events on the trails. If we are a community please show it by displaying empathy and compassion to the ones that make events possible. Be kind and safe I look forward to seeing you again in 2021!

Welcome to the 12th Annual Crazy Legs 10k Trail Run I am limited to amount runners per my permit so once the limited is reached a waitlist will begin. Entry fee allows you entry into the post race celebration where the award ceremony, raffle, light refreshments and coffee will be serve. You also receive a Trucker Hat with random patch on it. We will be having our awards ceremony at Dark Heart Coffee Bar in Loveland.

Course: The scenic 10k+ course located in Devil’s Backbone Open Space. The finish line will be located in the trail head parking lot. The course has rocks, dirt, hills, other trail users and wildlife.
-Parking: Parking is available at the trailhead but is very limited. Please carpool, if possible
-Timing: Chip timing? No baby we are going old school. After crossing the finish line you will be handed your overall placing on an index card. Please turn this card in ASAP
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF THE WEATHER CLOSES THE TRAIL I WILL BE UNABLE TO RESCHEDULE THE DATE. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS THIS IS WHY I MOVED THE RACE TO JUNE.

Course Map
Course adjustment for 2017
The course will begin on Hidden Valley Drive about .25 miles away from the trail head. This will enable the runners to spread out before they reach the actual trail. This will also keep the on runners on trails without distributing the area near or around the trails. After the runners enter the trail they will travel .4 miles then as the trail splits they will be directed to the right to the NEW Hidden Valley trail. Runners will then travel 2.2 miles until they reach Hunter Loop trail. When Hunters Loop splits they will be directed towards the left. After traveling .3 miles they will begin running on Laughing Horse Loop for .3 miles. When Laughing Horse Loop splits they will directed toward the left again traveling .7 miles. Runners will begin to head back towards the start of race using the.5 mile section of Laughing Horse Loop. By using a loop course with only few sections traveled twice during the race we will limit the possibility of runners running both ways on the trail. Runners will then travel .3 miles on Laughing Horse Loop trail then completing .4 miles and .6 miles sections of Hunter Loop trail until they reach Wild Loop trail. Traveling .8 miles on lower section of Wild Loop then completing the last .4 miles to finish located in parking lot for Devil’s Backbone Trail Head.
