I Love Coffee 5k

Here are some FYI's for Sunday:

-Those that signed up after the t-shirts sold out will receive winter hat and gloves.

-The race is held at Hawthorne Park 500 Ackerman Drive Porter, IN. Race day sign ups/packet pick up will begin at 8:00 am. There will be race day sign-ups fees will be $35 cash or check. We are currently out of t-shirts so you will receive a winter hat and gloves for those signing up race day.

-Race start is at 9 am Central Time (please note for those coming from Eastern Time Zone)

-There will be pink flags and signs to guide through the course. Please follow the course markings not the runner in front of you. The course is NOT closed so please be cautious on the road. The course will be on streets and bike trail in the Town of Porter.

-The weather looks good so far with temps in the 30’s and no snow.

-I have some plush animal hats that will be for sale $10 with the proceeds benefiting the Town of Porter Park and Recreation Department

-Packet pick-up, race day sign-ups, food and bathroom are in the Community Center at Hawthorne Park. Death Wish Coffee, water, donuts and Gatorade will be provided after the race. We also have EXO Cricket Protein Bar to try you all know that crickets are the NEW protein.

-We will have raffle for Death Wish Coffee items after the award ceremony. You receive one ticket just for signing the race. If you like to purchase additional tickets, you can for $1 with the proceeds going to the Porter Parks and Recreation Department. You can ONLY win once so we can be fair to all.

-We do old school timing after you finish you will receive a stick. That stick represents your overall placing in the race. Please turn this stick in ASAP so we can get the awards ceremony going on time.

-Schedule 10:15-10:30 am award ceremony then raffle

-Official finishing times will be posted on the web site www.crazylegsraceseries.info I should get the results out you by email by the afternoon

Get your 2020 off right by running through the street of the Town of Porter, Indiana. I have rented Hawthorne Park Community Center so we will be inside for sign ups, packet pick up, post race food and award ceremony. Coffee is the name of the game and that means Deathwish Coffee the "Strongest Coffee in the World" of course https://www.deathwishcoffee.com/. We will have Deathwish Coffee brewing and some snack as well. We will have a raffle which includes Deathwish Coffee items. Time to be #fueledbydeath. Entry fee include one raffle ticket and t-shirt. Coffee mugs are also available for additional fee.
