FYI’s for the Frozen 5k Trail Run on Sunday

-Food, packet pick-up, race day sign ups, and awards will be at the OUTDOOR shelter. The start/finish line will be near the shelter also bathroom will be near there as well.

-Online sign ups close at 1 pm today. Race will start at 9 am central time (for those on Eastern Time please note) There will be race day sign ups beginning at 8:15 am. Entry fee is $25 cash or check.

-You will run two loops around the park to complete the 5k distance. Please follow the pink flags and orange surveyor tape. There will also be directional arrow signs to guide you. As I always say follow the markings not the runner in front of you. The course is a mixture of grassy open area, dirt trails and pavement. There is one large hill you will climb twice please be cautious it maybe slippery.

-Post-race food includes cookies, water, granola bars and Gatorade.

-I do old school timing you will receive a Popsicle stick with a number on it. This represents your overall placing in the race. Please turn that stick in ASAP so we can figure out the age group awards. Age group awards will be given as you finish if you top three in your age group. There will not be a formal awards ceremony since we are at an outdoor shelter.

-They are predicting snow/rain/ice on Saturday so I am unsure what the course will be like on Sunday. Be prepared for slippery conditions and temps in the 30’s.

Come experience beautiful Creek Ridge County Park by running the Frozen 5k Trail Run. The course is two loops around the park include in the course is one hill you will run twice. Terrain could be frozen, snow covered or dry start out 2020 right. The first 25 registered will receive a plush animal hat with chin strap all others will receive a one-size-fits-all hats and gloves.
