Final race of the Alamo Beer Challenge, 2020

BATTLE OF LEON CREEK LOCATION CHANGES AGAIN! We have bad news and good news.

Bad news? Gillespie County didn't approve our event for 11.14.2020.

Good news? We are approved to move Battle of Leon Creek 20 mile, 13.1, 10 mile and 5k to River Road.

It’s COVID so anything can and will happen. We are just happy that we found a place to allow runners to run a live race if they want to. So come, bring your friends and let's enjoy a fabulous race!

Runners will be running out and back on River Road, which makes this the most beautiful race in Texas. This is the same location as our River Road Run on 1.9.2021 and that race is approved as well.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please remain flexible so that we can keep working to have live events.

We follow all of the covid rules at our races, masks before and after, do not attend if you are sick, keep 6 ft distance between athletes and wash your hands just like your Momma told you.

Start Times:

7:00 a.m. for 20 milers and all walkers

7:31 a.m. for 13.1 Half Marathon

7:55 a.m. for 10 milers

9:00 a.m. for 5k runners



About the Challenge
Come for the race, stay for the party!
As you know, our goal with the Alamo Beer Challenge is to help you test if you are on track to cross the finish line of the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon or the BCS Marathon. HOWEVER, you've probably been with us long enough or at least heard that we want you to have fun getting there also, so we will have food and beer at each race. So after the run, not only can you enjoy knowing that you are getting closer to your goal of a great marathon season, but you get to meet some other great and wild people along the way.


20 miler $75

13. half marathon is $75 until November 1st then it is $95 We have kept the 13.1 price down to $75 still. It will go up on race day.

10 Mile $55
5k $40

15 days before the event add $5
race day add $10

All participants will receive a tech shirt and finisher medal.
We will have a lots of good snack options for after the race and adult beverages of all kinds.

Awards
Age group awards with logos for 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
4th place in the following categories.
14 and under, 15-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

First overall male and female and first overall masters, male and female.

All age group awards will be based on on chip time due to COVID and the need to start in waves.

Thanks for signing up for our race, sometimes things change and you have to transfer your race entry or change the race, we understand. Please understand that this takes time to make these changes and we charge $20 to make that change or transfer. It doesn't mean we don't love you.

Age Deals

If you are 16 and younger we are giving you at 50% discount we want you to also take ownership of the race. When you finish, if you are able, come to the finish line and help the other runners. Stay and help clean up. You are young and we need your energy to make everything perfect.

Then be an ambassador for running and our running events, help us promote the events and the volunteers where ever you go. And on social media, snapchat, facebook, instagram..etc…

70+ participants will also get 50% off. If you can afford it we request that you make a small donation to marrowmatch. If you can not that is fine. We also ask that you take ownership of these races and help with advice to younger runners to keep them calm and caring.

DO NOT USE ANY ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT CODES IF YOU ARE GETTING THE 50% OFF, WE WILL CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION.
