Race FYI's

-There is ONLY race day packet pick up beginning at 7:00 am Central Time (Please note that NW Indiana is on Central Time Zone)

-If your friends or family are interested in running it online sign ups will be open until Feb 21st. We will have race day sign ups. Race day entry fees will be $60 if you have friends/family on the fence.

-Course is 3 loops around the park and each loop does contain about ½ mile of pavement. Most of the course is single track dirt trails with switchbacks, roots and depending on the weather mud or snow. Links to the course are below

-You will hit our aid station twice during the race. The station will have water, Gatorade, Huma Gels, Honey Stinger Waffles and Chews. If you need/want specific hydration/food please carry a hydration pack with those items. You will run near your car each loop if need to get something out of it. No aid will be on the course ONLY at the aid station so plan accordingly.

-A bib number will be assigned to you and please wear on the front so we can see it. We will be tracking your laps each time you come in and we need to see that number. We will be doing old school timing using Popsicle sticks.

-My plan is on Friday February 21st to begin marking the course. I will be using orange and pink flags plus orange survey tape at major turns. Arrows signs will also used at turns and yellow caution tape will be place where you are NOT to go. This course has a lot of switchbacks so PLEASE follow the markings NOT the runner in front of you.

-I will be selling plush animal hats for $10 at race. The proceeds will benefit the Laporte County Parks Department.

-Weather conditions are up in the air in past we have had 60 mph winds, 2 feet of snow and one year temperatures in the 60’s. We received about 6 inches of snow last night.

Come experience beautiful Bluhm County Park in Westivlle, Indiana. Trails maybe muddy, wet or snowy so come prepare for the challenge. Course is three loops around the park with one aid station you hit twice. If you need more aid please carry a hydration pack. This race is low key all runners receive a winter hat and gloves and a finisher's medal (see pic of wooden medals). You have 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete the course.
