Wellspring

Welcome to Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation. Wellspring is a network of community-based support centres offering professionally-led programs and services that meet the emotional, social, practical, informational and physical/functional needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them. Wellspring programs are offered free of charge.

At Wellspring, the focus is on the person, not the disease. As the leading network of cancer support centres in Canada, Wellspring is a sanctuary of understanding where cancer patients, at any stage in their cancer journey, as well as their family and caregivers are welcome to participate in programming that will help them move forward with renewed strength, confidence and hope.

With no government funding, Wellspring relies on personal donations and community events like the EXACT Yorkville Run in order to continue to provide professionally-led cancer support programs, free of charge.

Fundraising at the Yorkville Run:

• $150 will help purchase art supplies for the Art Therapy programs, proven to help patients learn to cope with cancer and its treatments.
• $500 will provide two families vital access to private, short-term counselling         
• $1,000 will enable professionally facilitated Breast Cancer Support Group sessions to be available for six months.
• $1,500 will provide one cancer patient with access to the 20-week, personalized Cancer Exercise program to help them manage their symptoms and regain their physical well-being.
