Beat Beethoven Goes Virtual in 2020, The Year of Beethoven
Run Calgary and The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra are collaborating by colliding the wonderful worlds of music and run. Lace up in support of the Calgary Phil in the third edition of Beat Beethoven, which is now virtual. Challenge yourself to finish an 8km run or a 4km walk, while listening to a Calgary Phil playlist of Beethoven's music. Your virtual run or walk can be completed anywhere, and on any surface (trail, road, treadmill, track) anytime during the race period. More details coming soon.
Beat Beethoven is a fundraising event for the registered charity, Calgary Phil and raises funds for PhilKids.
PhilKids is designed to fuel and support the empowerment of children through the exploration of music. It offers elementary students the opportunity to learn directly from musicians of the Calgary Phil.

Virtual Race Information
Walk or run your race, your pace.... anytime and anyplace!
Purchase your registration and select to collect your swag by curbside pickup or mail. Wallk or run your race between August 22-August 31
We encourage registered participants to track their run using RunKeeper, where your results will automatically sync with your Race Roster account and right onto the leaderboard.
Alternatively, you can choose to screen capture (not mandatory) any fitness app or watch (Garmin, Strava, Fitbit etc.) and manually upload you time.
All registered participants will receive detailed instructions for completing their virtual race prior to the start of the race period.
GST & Processing Fees
Please note that each participant will be charged a processing fee plus 5% GST tax in addition to the race entry fee.
Refund Policy
All fees associated with race registration are non-refundable and non-transferable. Accurate shipping information must be entered upon registration. We are not responsible for misdeliveries or lost swag due to participant error
