The Leprechaun Lap 5k of Wheaton VIRTUAL!!

LEPRECHAUN LAP 5K IS NOW VIRTUAL!!!





What is a virtual race?


Our virtual race can be done at any time from Thursday, August 20 through Thursday, August 27. And even though we cannot hold the event as planned, we do encourage people to wear their shirts and run/walk the route on Saturday, August 22nd from 8 am to 11 am.

Registration fees

5K Run/Walk Closed

    If 4 or more people sign up in the same registration, there is a $5 discount per person

Leprechaun Dash Closed

This year we have added "Ye Leprechaun Dash" for the little leprechauns. We will have two heats based on age. 2-5 will go first followed by 6-8 year olds.

Bag pick up and details on how to virtually run the Leprechaun Lap!

Bag/Shirt Pick Up Times/Dates

The bag pick ups with race route information, shirts, and medals will occur at two different times next week:

Monday (8/17) from 6-8 pm
Friday (8/21) from 10 am - 2 pm
The pick up will be at 528 Bridle Lane (Wheaton) as there will be a tent out front with very happy and eager 2nd/3rd graders to assist with the bags


Virtually participating in our 5K and Kids Dash!


  • Run anytime between August 20 and August 27, 2020.
  • Choose your own course or come and run the route from the school on August 22 from 8 AM to 11 AM
  • Most importantly….have fun and enjoy the time outside!


All participants will receive a race route information, race shirt and finisher's medal!



Follow these easy steps to prepare for your tracking:

TRACKING STEPS

1. Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account
2. Follow this link and click "Start Virtual Run" button to add the Leprechaun Lap to your in-app virtual events
3. To record your run between August 20 and August 27, simply click the flag icon in your app, select the Leprechaun Lap and follow prompts to start recording

Once you have completed your 5k or Kids Dash distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results.


(This step must be followed from your mobile device)


VIEWING AND POSTING MANUAL RESULTS

If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and "Submit Virtual Result" between August 20 and August 27, 2020.



FAQS:
- To record with tracking on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app, you will need to run or walk with your phone or with a connected wearable (see instructions below)
- You do not have to track with these technologies, it is optional!
