Our story…
Oliver was postnatally diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Oliver began his journey at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento, where the Child Life program provided him toys, blankets, a swing, beads of courage and so many services that made his hospital stay as comfortable as possible. The Child Life team also provide Oliver’s parents with activities and were always there for emotional support. The proceeds of the Donut Dash support the Child Life team to provide valuable services to children and their parents during their hospital stay, including friendly service dogs!!!
After 2 open heart surgeries, battling complex airway issues, a stroke, ECMO, countless seizures, and nearly 5 months in the hospital, Oliver enjoys his time home now with his parents and 3 crazy dogs. Oliver is the light of his family’s lives and has proven to everyone just how special and strong he is. We encourage you to donate and/or run in Oliver’s name! #OliverStrong
