NEW for 2020 the Huronia Open Water Swim is a great addition to the Canaqua Sports Family of events.Located in Historic Penetanguashine Ontario, only 90 minutes from Toronto, this event takes place in the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay, and is being run in conjunction with the Huronia SwimRun Challenge.

Distances 1K, 3K, 5K

Course: The course will be our standard 1K diamond, where swimmers will complete 1, 3 or 5 loops depending on their chosen distance.

Huronia Open Water Swim

Race Info

Location: Rotary Park, Penetanguashene, On.

Check-in: 7:30 - 8:30 AM at the Canaqua Sports tent onsite

Race Start Time 9:00 AM

Facilities & Food:

  • Washrooms will be available
  • Food will be provided

Race Details:

  • Swim caps will be provided for each swimmer and MUST BE WORN for identification purposes during the race
  • A number will be inked on upper back/shoulder of each participant
  • Water temperature at this time of year ranges between 68 – 72 degrees Fahrenheit
  • There will not be a "rain date" and a delay (or cancellation) would only occur in the event of lightning
