Bigfoot 5k Trail Run

-The race is held at Bluhm County Park 3855 S 1100 W, Westville, IN 46391

-There is race day sign ups begin at 8:15 am CST. The race starts at 9 am CST

-Course measures about 3.3 miles but do to the switchbacks all GPS watches measures slightly different. So your watch may measure 3.1 miles or nearer to 3.3 miles

-Runners must follow all CDC safe distancing guidelines.

-Runners must be in good health and symptom free from any illness for at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

-We will start near the path that lead to the trail. Please seat yourself based on pace.

-Runners passing one another on the course must be no closer than 10 feet behind or in front of, or 6 feet beside other competitors at any time.

-There will be no water/sport drink on the course if you need hydration please carry your own hydration system.

-All volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves. Runners need to wear masks for pre/post races activities. There will be NO formal awards ceremony those runners that are overall or top three in each age group will receive their awards when they finish.

-Bigfoot will be roaming the course if you get a picture or video of him with your phone and show it to after the race you will be entered into a special raffle for prizes. The raffle will occur after all runners are finish. The winners MUST be present to win I am looking to have the raffle about 10:15 am.

-Pre-packaged snacks, water and Gatorade will be available at the shelter after you finish. Please practice social distancing and hand sanitizer will be available at that area.

-We will be doing OLD SCHOOL timing for this race. You will receive a stick with a number please turn that in ASAP to the shelter.

-I will be marking the course in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday so I will provide course conditions during the pre-race announcements.

-Course will be marked with orange/pink flags and arrow signs are majority turns. PLEASE follow the course marking NOT the runner in front of you.
