Kansas City’s Big 12 Run 2020

RACE CANCELLED

Unfortunately, due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, The Big 12 Conference has made a decision to implement limited access to the Phillip’s 66 Big 12 Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championship games beginning on Thursday, March 12. Fans will not be allowed to attend the games scheduled for Thursday, March 12 through Sunday, March 15. Click here to see the full announcement from the Big 12 Conference.

In conjunction with that decision, Kansas City's Big 12 Run has also been cancelled. We are unable to provide a refund as stated below and in the waiver, however all registered participants will automatically be converted to a virtual race. Race staff will begin mailing each participant their event shirt and finisher's medal beginning next week. We understand this is disappointing news, but at the recommendation from public health officials to avoid large gatherings of people, the safety and health of our participants was the root of this decision.

REFUND POLICY:
In order to protect our participants and insure a safe event, each individual participating in this event must be officially registered under his or her own name with accurate personal information. Failure to do so will void the registration and prohibit participation. Registration entries and race numbers cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances or used by registrant in subsequent years. Registration fees are non-refundable in all cases regardless of inability to participate or event cancellation. The race director reserves the right to cancel the event because of weather, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances which pose a significant danger to the participants.

The race will go on regardless of weather conditions. However, if it is determined that it is unsafe to walk/run, the race director reserves the right to cancel the event.
